As a form of social networking, China in Comparative Perspective Network (CCPN) has been holding a Chinese New Year party for CCPN members together with LSE staff, students and associates who are interested in China related studies, since 2009. It is also a way to express the organizers' gratitude to the members who have worked and are working for the CCPN.

After CCPN 2010 party Dr Xiangqun Chang has been invited to a Chinese New Year Party held by IER & HRM,  Department Management staff and students. After the party CCPN and IER & HRM had co-organized a few events.

The 3rd party was joint with the Confucius Institute for Business London (CIBL), on the 3rd Feb 2011. It was the first of such for socialising and networking within LSE's China community at the festival occasion and at the School campus. CCPN and CIBL engaged staff and students from departments of Anthropology, Economics, Economic History, Finance, Government, Management, Law, Social policy. This page outlines some joint events (including events that CCPN members played key roles) with CIBL from 2009 onwards.

Since CCPN Director Dr Kent Deng has been appointed as the Co-Director of CIBL there will be more collaborations between them, e.g. the Chinese New Year's Party 2012 was held at the Parliament, by the Load Wei, on the 23rd Jan 2012 (This event is by invitation only).
