The National Institute for Advanced Study on Social Science at Fudan University (IAS-Fudan) has launched in June 2008. Professor Deng Zhenglai (邓正来) has been appointed as the Director. Professor Lord Anthony Giddens (LSE) and Professor Immanuel Wallerstein (Yale University) were invested as Honorary Directors. This fascinating initiative stresses on 'social science' and provides bridges to the Institute for Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences at Nanjing University, and the China Institute for Advanced Study (CIAS). The comprehensive CIAS was launched at Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) in April 2008 under Directorship of Professor Zou Heng-fu (邹 恒 甫). In June 2008 Sun Yat-sen University announced that it will launch its Institute for Advanced Study and appointed Professor Wang Jun (王珺) to be the Director. More...
