Ms Yu-Chin Tseng 

Yu-Chin Tseng is an Assistant Researcher, Editor and Translator of CCPN Global (UK). She is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of Essex. She is currently a teaching assistant in the Department of Sociology and the project assistant of Essex Business and Human Rights Project. Her academic background comprises of philosophy, politics, and sociology and her primary research interests are migration studies, citizenship, gender, nationalism, globalisation, and human rights theory. Her PhD research consists of a critical inter-disciplinary approach to the issue of marriage immigrants from mainland China to Taiwan.

Ms Tseng was awarded Taiwan Merit Scholarship by the Ministry of Education in 2009 and received Graduate Small Grants Award by the University of Essex.

Since 2001, she has been working as a Chinese to Japanese and Japanese to Chinese interpreter and translator in commercial, political, and cultural areas. She recently translated Professor Yasemin Soysal’s book Limits of Citizenship into Chinese, which was subsidized by the National Institute for Compilation and Translation of Taiwan in 2012.

曾育勤女士

曾育勤女士,全中國比較研究會(CCPN Global, 英国)兼任助理研究,編輯及翻譯, 英國艾賽克斯大學社會系博士候選人. 現擔任艾賽克斯大學社會系助理教師以及艾賽克斯商業與人權計畫(Essex Business and Human Rights Project)研究助理. 學術背景包括哲學,政治,與社會學, 研究方向為移民研究,公民權理論,性別,國族,全球化以及人權理論. 博士論文以批判性跨領域方式進行台灣的大陸配偶田野研究.

2009年榮獲台灣教育部菁英留學獎學金, 並於2012年貨艾賽克斯大學社會系研究生獎助金.

曾育勤自2001年起在商業,政治及文化等各領域中擔任中文與日文雙向翻譯及口譯工作. 2012年接受台灣國立編譯館學術翻譯補助, 翻譯Yasemin Soysal所著之”公民身分的限制:歐洲的移民與後國家公民”一書。
