Costanza Pernigotti is Researcher and Assistant Translator for Global China Institute, UK; Researcher at the Research Centre for Discourse and Communications, Zhejiang University of Media and Communications, China
She obtained MA in Sinology at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at University of London, with a scholarship sponsored by HSBC. Her focus is on modern and contemporary documentary texts. She is also taking modules in translation theory and practice.
She has been studying Chinese language and culture for five years. She completed her BA studies in Asian Languages, Cultures and Markets at University of Bologna (Italy), and she spent one year in Kunming City, Yunnan (China). At the end of her stay in China she passed HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) Level 6.
Since 2010 she has been working occasionally as proof-reader/translator of clinical research documents (English to Italian, Italian to English).
Since 2012 Costanza has been a voluntary contributor for the OPIDIPO website (www.opidipo.com), where she published short articles about Chinese culture aimed at the general public. In 2012 she was also a voluntary contributor for the OPIDIPO Chinese-English-Italian Dictionary for Android.
Costanza speaks Italian, English and Chinese, and has basic knowledge of French and Spanish.
