Online shop: www.eshop.ccpn-global.org
The initial construction of CCPN, JCCP and China4Global's websites and blogs completed in June 2014.The CCPN Global consist of 4 websites, 3 blogs and 1 online shop. The category of ‘sister sites’ brings all CCPN's Global family together.
The China in Comparative perspective Network (CCPN) and the Journal of China in Comparative Perspective (JCCP) were born as twins and shared the same website (www.lse.ac.uk/ccpn) before 2013. Over the past years CCPN gained an international high profile as ‘a network for networking’ through its academic activities, whereas JCCP’s editorial work only exists as a Book Review in an online journal and as a working papers series.
Along with the CCPN Global’s development, CCPN’s ‘Knowledge transfer’ and ‘Public engagement’, the ‘third stream activities’, have grown into an innovative idea, i.e., the ‘globalization of knowledge from a Chinese perspective’. It has been designated as the profit part of CCPN Global branded as ‘China4Global’ (C4G). Thanks to the Sun Yat-sen University of China, the previously edited JCCP papers are available to be published as an academic journal online and in print. Now the JCCP and C4G which have been reborn as twins have their own websites and separate domains. It is hoped the China4Global will be able to subsidise the JCCP and other non-profit activities of the CCPN Global.
As the only bilingual website for social scientific studies on China in the English speaking world our websites and blogs provide a venue for the practicing of the Chinese language for social sciences. However, some pages on the Chinese site are still in English, and the other Chinese pages need to be updated.
The common character of the above websites (CCPN Global, JCCP and China4Global) is that they are ‘ego centered networks’ by nature. We therefore made 3 blogs for each of them which provide platforms for readers and users to interact with the sites and each other.
The above title is adapted from the China's development style in order for you to share our resources in a timely fashion. There is still a huge amount of work to be done. Your understanding, participation and generous support are highly appreciated!
